I shall stand by you in sickness

          and in health, in lack and

          in plenty, in joy and in sorrow,

                   I shall challenge you to grow,

                          encourage you when your down,

                          never criticize you to others,

                    I shall excel in building a lovely

                           home for you and our children,

                           that our union may be a

                           refuge and shelter for others,

                    Only by God’s strength

                           shall I be able to do this –

                          to love you as He loves you

                           as long as my breath shall last……….
